GuardianCam Elects Mehdi Hatamian, Ph.D to Board of Directors

Newport Beach, CA (April, 2001) - Mehdi Hatamian, Ph.D was elected to the Board
of Directors of GuardianCam Inc., a national Company whose service allows parents
anywhere in the world to log on to the Internet through secure servers and see their
children’s daycare activities in real time.
Dr. Hatamian will bring a vast array of experience and insight to the GuardianCam
team. “Dr. Hatamian’s proven history will serve as a valuable asset, ensuring GuardianCam’s
leadership position in the Internet viewing field. With his expertise, GuardianCam
can maintain the cutting edge technology that our Company has been known for” stated

Dr. Hatamian worked for NASA’s Space Shuttle program, developing hardware and
software designs to support in-flight biomedical experiments. From 1982 to 1991,
he was a member of the Visual Communications Research and the VLSI Systems Research
departments of Bell Laboratories, where he was named Distinguished Member of the
Technical Staff in 1988. From 1991 to 1996, he was Vice President of Technology
at Silicon Design Experts, Inc., a company he co-founded. In 1996, Dr. Hatamian
joined Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM) as the Director of DSP Microelectronics
Technology. Broadcom Corporation is a provider of highly integrated silicon solutions
that enable broadband digital transmission of voice, video, and data to and throughout
the home and within the business enterprise.
Dr. Hatamian has published nearly 50 papers in his areas of expertise and holds
10 patents with several patents pending. He is a senior member of the Institute
of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) whose technical objectives center
on advancing the theory and practice of electrical engineering, electronics, computer
engineering, and computer science. He has participated in numerous national and
international conferences and other professional activities in his field as an organizer,
session chair, panelist, invited lecturer, and moderator. Dr. Hatamian received
a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Arya-Mehr University of Technology
in Tehran, Iran and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
